YouthWorks is a local nonprofit organization (NPO) that develops youth programs after school. They recruit community volunteers to be mentors for high school students who have been identified as at risk of dropping out of school. YouthWorks is a partnership between Rose Hips High School and the local chapter of the National Youth Mentoring Association (NYMA) and takes place in a very small town.
The YouthWorks Volunteer Coordinator, Doris Green, has placed Ben, a brand new volunteer, at Rose Hips High.
Mr. Brown from NYMA is the YouthWorks Site Supervisor and has screened Ben and approved the placement at the Rose Hips.
