Keep Maine Warm 2008

Escalating heating and transportation costs are placing an unbearable economic burden on many Mainers.

You can be part of a neighbor helping neighbor response to citizens struggling to stay warm this winter.

 

How to help

yellow arrow Donate Your Time. Join others in your community who want to do something.
                  » Join a Keep ME Warm Team to coordinate a "safety net" in your town for families without heat.
                  » Volunteer with a community program providing shelter, fuel, warm meals, warm clothing, etc.
                     To locate openings, enter "Keep ME Warm" in "Keyword" field.

yellow arrow Donate Money, Goods, or Services. Help families with children and elders make it through the winter.

                  » Have materials or services to donate? Find a local agency that needs them.

yellow arrow Connect Your Service or Resource to 211. In Maine, 211 is the number anyone can call to find help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every call is answered by a person, never a machine. The call specialist uses a statewide list of resources to solve the caller's problem.
